Location

The Chamravattam Regulator-cum-Bridge is a major irrigation and transportation project constructed across the Bharathappuzha River at Chamravattam in the Malappuram district. The main objectives of the project are to prevent the intrusion of saltwater, store water necessary for agriculture, and improve transportation facilities.

  • Built across the Bharathappuzha River.

    • A regulator controlling the flow of water, and

    • A bridge for vehicular traffic.

  • Helps store fresh water during the summer season.
